ARHIS is a hazard detecting system on the road. It collects driving sounds on the road and analyzes them in real time to prevent accidents caused by wet or icy road.

Acoustic sensor collects driving sounds.

AI determines the road condition such as Dry, Wet, Icy.

Technology ARHIS
Device

ARHIS device consists of wireless communication module, accustic sensor, camera and etc. It uses electricity from the road or solar panels.
AI model installed in ARHIS device determines road surface condition with sounds.

Technology AI Process

The accustic sensor collects friction sounds between car tire and the road surface.
The AI model classifies the road condition into Dry, Wet, Icy with the collected sounds after data preprocessing for non-driving exception and wind noise reduction.

Technology ARHIS Cloud

AI model requires continuous learning as environments around the road change minute by minute. ARHIS Cloud enables automatic data collection, classification, learning, distribution upon the road condition.

Technology API, Dashboard

ITS connected to ARHIS Cloud can check road condition, location, occurance time and immediatly warn the drivers with VMS or VSL. Real-time notification can be sent to the person in charge and salt water spray, road heating system can be automatically turned on.

We promote ARHIS by setting up a booth and seminar to European road traffic authorities and companies.

SK planet showcased ARHIS at ITS World Congress 2022 in Los Angeles from September 19 to 22, 2022.
We set up a booth and promoted ARHIS, a roadway condition monitoring solution with sound & AI, to transportation authorities in various countries.

Provides real-time road hazard information with AI

Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on December 29, 2021 that it will complete the installation of on-site facilities for SK Planet's real-time road hazard information notification solution business and test operation by early 2022.

Selected as a public offering project 'ITS innovative technology'

On April 27, 2021, the 'real-time road surface hazard information notification solution based on driving sound AI (artificial intelligence) analysis' developed by SK Planet was selected as the ITS innovative technology contest project by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
